Introduction to Japan
Japan is located in Asia with its latitudes and longitudes being between 36° 0' N and 138° 00' E. Japan’s main islands are Honshu, Kyushu, Hokkaido and Shikoku but it has over 1000 islands. Its small land mass makes it very good for defending against foreign invasion.
In winter there is heavy snow, in spring the cherry blossoms bloom, in summer it can get hot and wet and in Autumn there is heavy rain and winds.
In ancient Japan you wouldn't eat red meat so the sea played a big role in their lives so they could eat the fish. The Japanese would also eat millet, wheat and barely that boiled or could be be made into noodles. The Peasants in ancient Japan would grow rice and give it to the samurai or use the rice in payment of their taxes.
